This intimate, small-group experience is designed for beginners and confident snorkelers ready to explore the open sea in a new way.
Over three days, you’ll complete the Apnea Total Level 1 Freediver Course while discovering what it feels like to be underwater on a single breath — learning to relax, control your breathing, and dive safely and calmly to depths you never thought possible (up to 20 meters).
Between training sessions, we will enjoy fresh lunches on the boat, visit quiet coves, and cruise along the volcanic coasts of the Aeolian Islands.
With only three guests per trip, you get personal coaching in breathing, equalisation, and moving efficiently in the water.
3-Day Schedule Highlights
- Day 1 – Lipari: Arrival, boat sunset around the island, theory session, dinner
- Day 2 – Filicudi: Morning dive (to 12 m), lunch aboard, afternoon fun freedive, theory session
- Day 3 – Vulcano: Morning Dive (to 20m) + certificate, lunch aboard, afternoon exploring the vulcano, farewell
Boat Tours
Each day, we set out aboard our private boat with Captain Marino — a skilled sailor with a deep love for these volcanic waters and years of freediving experience.
Together, we’ll explore the wild beauty of Filicudi, Vulcano, and Lipari, including a visit to the majestic sea stack La Canna. Between dives, we’ll enjoy fresh lunches on board and soak in the serenity of the open sea.
For this special, last-minute experience, the pricing covers the freediver course, the fun dive in Filicudi, and two lunches onboard.
The boat itself and its operational costs (such as fuel and the captain’s fees) are not included in the price and will not be charged separately.
Our captain, has kindly decided to waive the boat rental fees to keep this experience affordable and straightforward for everyone.
This means you’re paying directly for the training, the diving fun, and your meals, making the whole adventure simple and clear.
Accommodation is not included, but you can easily find B&Bs or hotel rooms in Lipari.
Since this is the first time we’re offering this format, we want to be upfront about what’s covered so you know exactly what to expect.

Our Location: The Aeolian Islands
Just north of Sicily lies the Aeolian Islands — a group of seven beautiful islands recognized by UNESCO
for their volcanic history, clear blue sea, and stunning coastlines.
On this trip, we’ll explore and train around three of the most special ones: Lipari, Vulcano, and Filicudi.
Each island has its own personality, and together they make a perfect playground for learning and enjoying freediving.
Lipari
The largest and busiest of the Aeolian Islands, Lipari is full of life. White houses, narrow streets, and a busy port give it charm and history. You can feel the past in the old citadel and enjoy the present in its cafés and ice cream shops. The turquoise sea and high cliffs make it the ideal starting point for our adventures.
Filicudi
Quiet, wild, and untouched — Filicudi feels like another time. Its rocky coast, clear water, and the tall sea rock called La Canna make it unforgettable. Small fishing villages and paths with the smell of wild herbs add to its magic. From our boat, we’ll explore its cliffs, find secret coves, and dive in some of the clearest waters in the Aeolian Islands.
Vulcano
Shaped by fire and still alive today, Vulcano is famous for its smoking crater, black sand beaches, and warm natural springs. It’s a mix of raw nature and island hospitality. After our dives, we’ll walk its trails, enjoy amazing views, and feel the powerful volcanic energy that has attracted people for hundreds of years.
Program
Day 1 - Arrival + Sunset Welcome
Location: Lipari
Arrive independently in Lipari at your own pace. Spend the day settling in, strolling through the charming streets, or simply unwinding. In the late afternoon, we meet for the first time and board our private boat for a sunset cruise along the island’s coastline, with a relaxed welcome aperitif on board. We’ll also begin our freediving journey with an introductory theory session, covering breathing techniques, equipment familiarisation, and the foundations of safe freediving.
Day 2 - Depth Training + Exploration
Location: Filicudi
After an early breakfast, we head out for our first in-water training session, focusing on relaxation, technique, and dives to a maximum depth of 12 meters. Following a freshly prepared lunch on board, we cruise to Filicudi to explore its pristine coast and the majestic sea stack La Canna. There’s also the chance for a fun freedive in the wild to enjoy marine life and natural formations. In the evening, after dinner, we gather for our second theory session, refining breathing techniques and learning safety procedures for the final day.
Day 3 - Certification Dive + Exploration + Farewell
Location: Vulcano
We begin with our final water session, where you’ll have the opportunity to dive up to 20 meters and, for those who successfully complete the rescue exercise from 6 meters, receive the Apnea Total Level 1 Certification.
After a relaxed lunch on the boat, we step ashore to explore the volcanic landscapes of Vulcano. Our journey ends with a sunset moment together
— leaving with new skills, greater confidence, and unforgettable memories.

How to Book

Do I need experience?
No! This trip is open to anyone who knows how to swim. You don’t have to be a freediver or scuba diver.
What gear do I need?
Please bring your own freediving gear if you have it. If you don’t, you can rent it on the island — wetsuit, snorkel, mask, and fins are each available for €10 per day. We will visit the local diving center together so you can choose the equipment that suits you best
What if the weather is bad?
Rain or wind won’t stop us from freediving. We simply adjust the itinerary so you can still make the most of your day in the water.
How to get there?
You can reach Lipari by ferry or hydrofoil from several ports in Sicily, with Milazzo offering the most frequent connections. Messina and Palermo also have services. The nearest airports are Catania (CTA), Palermo (PMO), and Reggio Calabria (REG). From Catania or Palermo, you can take a bus or shuttle to Milazzo’s port. From Reggio Calabria, seasonal hydrofoils run directly to the Aeolian Islands.
Will I get underwater footage of my dives?
Yes! As part of the experience, we’ll record your training sessions and fun dive underwater with a GoPro. You’ll receive the raw video clips (unedited).
